Iowa Fire Equipment was established in 1960. Our mission is to provide you with quality service and products at a reasonable price.

Throughout the years Iowa Fire Equipment has remained a family owned and operated business located in Des Moines, Iowa. We continue to grow and prosper. We have outgrown three locations, moving each time to a larger facility. In 1993 we opened a branch office and service center in Iowa City, Iowa increasing our market area.

Our area of operations includes Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Missouri, and Kansas.

Our staff of professionals have over 40 years experience in the fire equipment industry. Our technicians are factory trained in the installation of fire detection and suppression equipment.

We have the capability to engineer quality installations according to customer specifications. All of our installations meet or exceed UL, FM, or NFPA standards.

We are members of NAFED and NFPA and are a DOT approved hydrotest facility.

We offer 24 hour emergency service and our fleet of 23 trucks is equipped for on site service.
